We’ll cook the dough ourselves. For this we need:
1 cup flour
1 cup salt
1 tablespoon of sunflower oil (for elasticity)
0.5 cup - water.
After kneading, let stand for about an hour.
Prepare a baking sheet - wash, wipe dry
Getting Started
1. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin, bring it to a thickness of 0.5-0.8 cm. We try to ensure that the thickness throughout the cake is the same. It is advisable to immediately place it on a baking sheet and then work on it in order not to deform the frame during movement.
2. Fold the A4 sheet in half, lay on the dough and carefully cut everything that protrudes - this way we get an even blank under the frame.
3. Fold the sheet again and cut out the middle of the frame (a window under the photo).
Decor
1. We sculpt two rectangles - one more - the base of the machine, the second less - the cab, lay one on top of the other, and coat the joint with water.
2. Sculpt circles in the form of wheels, flatten, apply to the base. All this we carefully sculpt sideways to the bottom of the frame (also using water)
3. Sculpt a cloud (you can make several), and glue on top of the frame
4. Sculpt the tree (first the trunk, then the crown).
Bake
Our masterpiece is placed in the oven, originally preheated to 150 degrees. Let it dry. It is advisable not to open the oven door during drying, which is approximately 20 minutes, in order to avoid bloating on our product.
Colorize
For coloring salt dough, you can use not only acrylic, but also gouache and watercolor, in this case it was painted with watercolors.
Try to make shades, this will give your frame even more charm.
