Homemade universal "nozzle" for a network drill

Using a simple home-made universal “nozzle” for a network electric drill or screwdriver, you can drill holes in wood and metal workpieces to a certain depth without deviating from the vertical axis.

This homemade product is universal, because it works as a limiter and as a right angle pattern. And to make such a device with your own hands is very simple.

Using a grinder, we cut a small piece 20 mm wide from a steel pipe of the desired diameter. To draw a straight line for the cut, you can use masking tape or a strip of paper. The resulting burrs are removed with a round file.

The main stages of work

We cut out a small piece from the pipe section, after which we weld two nuts at the edges. A bolt is screwed into them. Accordingly, the part itself works like a clamp, and is worn on the "neck" of an electric drill.

On the side of the ring from the pipe we weld two more nuts. Then cut off a piece of the profile, which will need to be welded to the nuts. In this case, the profile pipe acts as a guide.

Then from two pieces of the profile we weld the L-shaped part, which is inserted into the guide. At the next stage, we clean the welds with a grinder, and then proceed to the assembly of this homemade product.

We put on a drill clamp with a guide. Then we install the second part of the structure. On it, you will first need to put on a regular metal clamp with a fixing bolt. After that, you can drill holes of a given depth by setting the clamp at the desired height.
