Decorative "baskets" of metal are quite popular - they are used as elements of artistic forging (in the manufacture of various metal structures). Moreover, you can make such products with your own hands.
This will require sections of a steel bar of the desired diameter, as well as some improvised devices that can also be made independently.
First of all, you need to cut a steel bar into segments of a certain length (it depends on what size the "basket" itself will be). Then these blanks must be bent in the form of a semicircle.
And for this, the master uses as a template a piece of pipe of suitable diameter. One edge of the workpiece is fixed with a manual clamp, and the second is bent around the pipe. One bar will require four bars.

Further, the edges of all four blanks will also need to be slightly bent to the sides. To do this, the master uses a simple homemade device. Then they will need to be joined together by welding.
After that, the master installs another fixture made of a profile pipe and metal scraps in a vice. With it, the "basket" will be twisted. In such a simple way these art forging elements are created.
