Most often, empty plastic bottles are disposed of in the trash. But in vain! After all, they will make an excellent ribbon, which can be used at the summer cottage as a strong fixing material, as well as in everyday life - in the manufacture of panicles or for weaving decorative items.
To dissolve bottles with a capacity of 0.5-2 liters on a plastic tape, you will first need to make a special device - a bottle cutter. The design is very simple, so it does not cause any questions. As the main materials for this homemade product you will need: an elongated nut, a removable blade from a stationery knife, a piece of a steel plate and fasteners.
Bottle Cutter Process
At the edges of the elongated nut M10 or M12, two holes must be drilled into which the thread is cut. Then on the same side with the help of a grinder we make a shallow cut. Next, a bearing is welded to a rectangular steel plate. And to the other side of the plate is an elongated nut.
A small square plate must be welded to the edge of this nut so that the bottle cutter can be clamped in a vice. Then, using small bolts with a hat under the hexagon, a removable blade from the clerical knife is attached to the nut. That's all - the bottle cutter is ready! As you can see, everything is simple and fast.
