The presence of a mini-pool in the summer cottage or in the courtyard of a private house is not uncommon, however, the pond, which is located in the open air, requires regular cleaning, as over time dust and dirt accumulate on the bottom, tree pollen, and plaque forms.

Also, leaves and other debris fall into the open pond - in order for the water to be clean, all this must be removed in a timely manner. In addition to filtration pumps, it is recommended to use improvised means for cleaning the pool. For example, a homemade mop made from plastic pipes and a corrugated pipe.

This simple and compact device is perfect for manual cleaning of the bottom of inflatable and frame pools. First, leaves are collected from the surface of the water using a net, and then the bottom of the reservoir is cleaned. And to make a mop from plastic pipes is very simple.

The main stages of work

First of all, a mop itself is made of a plastic pipe of suitable length and a tee with plugs at the ends. To connect the parts, it is best to use a special soldering iron (the so-called welding iron), however, you can do with a conventional gas torch.

A wide longitudinal section is made at the bottom of the squeegee with a grinder to collect dirt from the bottom of the pool. A corrugated hose is attached to the mop handle, and a plunger is attached to the other end of the hose. Well, then, as they say, it’s a matter of technology.

The plunger must be attached to the hole in the wall of the pool, from which there is a hose to the inlet valve of the filtration pump. Using a mop made of plastic pipes, dirt is collected from the bottom of the pond - the pump draws in dirty water, passes it through a filter pad, and then returns it back to the pool.
