Angle grinder is a universal power tool, which is constantly used both at the construction site and in the country, as well as in domestic conditions. Speaking about the home use of the grinder, it should be noted that it must be stored so that it is always at hand.
And for this, it is best to make a wall shield on which you can conveniently place not only the tool itself, but the disks (detachable, grinding, etc.) along with a key for tightening the nut. And for the manufacture of a makeshift stand will require a minimum of time and materials.
The main stages of work
The first thing you need to do is make the shield itself - for this we cut two rectangular pieces of plywood and sheet metal with dimensions of about 40x60 cm (in this case, the dimensions are individual, you can make a wall shield for a grinder with large or smaller disks). The sheet of metal is attached to the plywood using two-component adhesive.
From the remnants of sheet metal, we cut two identical plates from which the seats for the grinder are made - for this we bend them on a bending machine or in the vice of a beech "P". In the resulting boxes, we make hemispherical cutouts and drill holes for attaching to the stand.
At the next stage, we fix the U-shaped plates in the lower part of the wall shield, and then we make and install hooks for circles and a key from a steel bar. We paint all the details, collect the shield and hang it on the wall. Now the grinder and wheels for it will always be at hand.
