To make a mini-nail clipper yourself, you will need a connecting rod with an integral head from a two-stroke gasoline engine of a motorcycle. Such a “marching” tool, despite its simplicity, in some situations is able to replace a hammer with a nail puller, while it weighs much less and fits into a jacket pocket without any problems.
Whether such a tool is useful on the farm or not is a moot point. However, I would like to note that this idea for homemade work is one of the options for using unnecessary spare parts. Of the main tool for making a mini nail clipper, you will only need a grinder with a cutting disc.
Nail making process
First of all, it is necessary to disconnect the piston head from the top of the connecting rod - for this you can use an ordinary flat screwdriver.
Then we install the connecting rod in a vice, make a marking (approximately by eye) and use a grinder with a cutting disc to cut a small piece from the lower head.
Then you need to trim the edges and make a small wedge-shaped cut, so that you can grab onto the nail shaft.
The result is a cool mini nail clipper, which does not take up much space in the tool box - and you can always carry it with you “just in case”.
