From an old rim from a car, you can make a useful home-made for a workshop or garage. And the thing will turn out quite universal.
For example, this fixture can be used for welding pipes (where you can make a rotary seam). Also, this homemade product can still be used as a spinning seat, but you will only need to make the frame from a profile or a round pipe.
First of all, it will be necessary to cut the rim into two halves using angle grinders, and then you need to clean the edges on each workpiece so that there are no burrs.
The main stages of work
At the next stage of work, it is necessary to fasten the hub to one of the halves of the rim. After that, the master prepares the workpieces for welding. To do this, he first sets one half of the disk on the other, putting between two bands.
Further to the upper half of the disk and to the hub itself, two segments of the metal strip should be welded. And thus, the two parts will be independent of each other.
At the last stage, it remains only to weld metal strips to the upper part of the homemade product so that the plane can be used as a stand for workpieces.
