For the manufacture of some homemade products at home, parts from a strip of metal in the form of a ring are sometimes required. You can try to bend the strip manually, but it is long and not very convenient.

To facilitate the process of manufacturing rings from a strip of metal, you can use a simple bench-top bender for this. Do it yourself is not difficult to do, you will need the most ordinary and affordable materials.

The first step is to cut off three workpieces from the profile pipe. After that, on one side of each workpiece, it will be necessary to cut out the “ears” and drill holes in them.

The main stages of work

At the next stage of work, six identical bearings and three short pieces of studs will be required. The bearings must be inserted into the sections of the profile pipe and fixed with studs. The ends of the studs must be scalded.

As a base, the master uses a sheet of metal of rectangular shape with dimensions of 15x25 cm. The master welds a pair of nuts to the plate at a distance from each other, into which the stud will then be screwed.

After that, it remains only to collect all the details "to the heap." Two sections of the profile are welded parallel to each other, and the third is put on a hairpin.

This device can be used not only for bending metal strips, but also rods of different diameters. The design is compact in size and does not take up much space on the desktop.
