First of all, the pliers must be disassembled. To do this, the author drills a through hole in the center. This operation is most conveniently performed on a drilling machine.

The main stages of work
At the next, we heat the ends of the pliers handles using a gas burner. Then we bend the ends at an angle of 90 degrees. The result was captures.
From a piece of a thick U-shaped plate, a steel round disc and a blank, the master made the handle of a puller. See the photo below.
