In this case, the usual material for making a soldering iron is a regular car cigarette lighter.
For soldering parts from microchips and other simple work at home, such a soldering iron will be an excellent option.
First of all, it will be necessary to disassemble the lighter from the car cigarette lighter into separate elements.
The main stages of work
The next step will require two large steel clips. In this case, paper clips will act as load-carrying conductive contacts.
To do this, they need to be straightened. Then at the ends you will need to bend the rings of different diameters.
After that, we assemble the cigarette lighter lighter in the reverse order, but already with previously prepared blanks from 2 clerical clips.
The author makes a handle for a soldering iron from a small wooden blank.
In it, on the sides you need to make two longitudinal grooves in which the conductive contacts from the paper clip will fit.
Next, we isolate the conductive contacts using a heat shrink tube. At the ends of the contacts we fix the connecting terminals for the wires.
At the last stage, it remains only to connect the wooden handle and the heating element together, as well as connect the connector for the power supply.
