The author bought in Auchan a set of outdoor chairs, which are made of plywood. At first glance, they look solid, but very simple.

Therefore, the author decided to subject the chairs to "torture" by fire and make a cool "fiery" decor with their own hands.

To do this, you need a tourist gas bottle with a burner nozzle and tinting impregnation for wood. And, of course, a bit of free time.

The burning method protects wood much better than any impregnation or varnishes, but it is better to cover already burnt chairs with a single layer of tinting impregnation with antiseptic properties.

The main stages of work

First of all, the author burns the chairs with a gas spray. This process is interesting and even fascinating, but requires a certain investment of time and perseverance.

At the next stage, it will be necessary to lighten the seats and backs of chairs a little. To do this, you can use sandpaper or a grinding disc on a drill (angle grinder).

After lightening, the texture of the seat and back on the chairs became much more expressive.

Next, we remove all excess soot with a clean rag, and then proceed to applying a water-based antiseptic. In this case, the author uses tinting impregnation, but you can also try colorless.

When applying an antiseptic, the texture of the wood and the work done with fire are immediately emphasized. After this, the excess impregnation must be removed with a rag.
