Tools and materials
You will need:- Vinegar 9%.
- Alcohol.
- A cup.
- Plate.
- Paper towels.
- And the coating knife itself.
Boil vinegar
Pour the required amount of vinegar into the pan for boiling. We put on the stove. And while the vinegar comes to a boil, take alcohol and paper towels. We will wet the towel with alcohol and wipe the knife blade, thereby cleaning it from dirt and degreasing it.
All work is carried out in a well-ventilated area.
We make an anti-corrosion coating
After the vinegar boils, pour it into a cup. Then place the carbon steel blade in this cup. After some time, gas bubbles will appear on the blade of the knife. The whole procedure can take you from 10 to 20 minutes. After this time, remove the knife and wipe it with a paper towel.
Your anti-corrosion coating is ready. It is not eternal and will eventually be erased. It should be enough for a couple of years. And if it suddenly completely erases - no one bothers you to repeat this procedure again.
